C2 GRID HUB predicts, controls and validates converter–cable interactions while training specialists in both equipment design and intelligent grid operation.

Center mission
Build AI·SW capabilities for modeling, control and analysis of integrated MT-HVDC systems and establish an industry–academia–research training framework.
Represent MT-HVDC converters and cables together at power-system scale.
Identify instability and equipment interactions using wide-area EMT and measurement data.

Participating laboratories
The center combines expertise in power systems and energy informatics from two Yonsei University laboratories.
2026–2032 roadmap
The program builds its foundation in Phase 1, develops and validates core technologies in Phase 2, and advances field deployment and global adoption in Phase 3.
Establish the research, education and collaboration framework and finalize detailed plans around industry needs.
Develop and validate HVDC control, protection, stability analysis, fault location and explainable-AI diagnostics.
