2026 Power School Hosted by the KEPCO Management Research Institute
From July 1 to 3, researchers attended the Power School hosted by the KEPCO Management Research Institute, which covered a broad range of topics spanning power systems, energy, policy, and economics. A technical visit to the Seo-Jeju HVDC converter station provided an opportunity to observe the role of HVDC in Jeju’s power system.

From July 1 to 3, researchers attended the Power School hosted by the KEPCO Management Research Institute, which conducts policy and economic research in the power and energy sectors. The program featured seminars by professors on power systems, energy policy, and economics. Following the lectures, participants visited the Seo-Jeju HVDC converter station and the Hallim offshore wind farm, gaining first-hand insight into the operation of power-system facilities. The program also included team projects conducted by groups of four participants from different academic backgrounds. A team including Euihyun Song from the Center received the Grand Prize for its project titled “Flexible Operation of Data Centers and Incentive Design.”
