About this event

From July 5 to 9, researchers delivered oral presentations at ICEE 2026 on the stability and control of MTDC systems and the operating-region assessment of grid-forming HVDC systems. Chanho Ji presented “Impact of MMC Arm Dynamics on the Small-Signal Stability Analysis of MTDC Systems under DC Droop Control,” Minsung Kim presented “Coordinated Damping Control for Grid-Forming MTDC Systems Interconnected with Synchronous Grids,” and Seungyun Lee presented “P-Q Operating Region Assessment for Grid-Forming HVDC Considering Transient Constraints of MMC Under Phase Jumps.” The conference provided an opportunity to share the Center’s research achievements in MTDC and grid-forming HVDC stability, control, and operating-region assessment with the international research community.
